A group of MPs has been looking at how to make sure the older generation is able to keep the independence that a car gives them and yet remain safe behind the wheel.

Older drivers statistically cause more accidents than any other age group yet we always concentrate on the young drivers. Young drivers can indeed be reckless however some older drivers suffer from loss of vision and impaired judgement. I think more stringent tests should be carried out on older drivers to make sure that they are still up to standard.
