Bedford and District Driving Instructors Association (BADDIA) are calling for urgent action on un-safe roads in Bedfordshire
March 17, 2010
BADDIA’s letter to the Local Authority Highways Department.
Dear Sir or Madam
I am writing on behalf of BADDIA (Bedford and District Driving Instructors Association) regarding the current state of the roads in Bedford.
As Driving Instructors we obviously spend a lot of time on the roads in Bedford and are becoming increasingly concerned about their appalling condition.
Many roads such as Goldington Road, The Embankment, Castle Road and Rothsay Road are in such a terrible state, it is becoming increasingly dangerous to teach learner drivers to negotiate the holes safely. Also, who will be paying for the damage caused to vehicles?
Of course, we know you are aware of the situation but so we can inform our Instructors of your work order, please forward your schedule of works for the repair of potholes to us ASAP.
In addition, please let us know who to contact regarding road markings and signs.
We await your urgent reply.

This particular pothole is still there. I think it’s on Castle Road?
